The Golden Technologies AutoDrive™ hand control for Comfort Zone Four lift recliners features a thoughtful Easy-Grip Design engineered for users with limited hand strength or dexterity.

Easy-Grip Design

The ergonomic shape offers a tapered design, with a wider top and thinner bottom, allowing people with low hand strength to feel secure. In addition to the shape, the back of the control has an indention for a finger grip, which helps keep the controller firmly in place. For extra security, the “soft touch” finish provides an even better grip with dry or damp skin.

Smart & Convenient Features

• Button Programmability — The Position Control buttons can be easily reprogrammed by the user, so your favorite positions can be accessed quickly and consistently.
• SmartTek® Diagnostic System — Built-in LEDs communicate the electrical health of your recliner. If power is lost or an issue arises, you’ll know immediately by looking at the hand control.
• Quick Disconnect — Allows the hand control to be easily unplugged and replaced if it is dropped or damaged — no tools required.

Additional Control Features

The AutoDrive™ hand control also includes these useful functions (detailed in the owner’s manual):

• Full Lockout – Disables all buttons
• Partial Lockout – Disables positions, leaving only basic Rise/Recline functions active
• Lights Out Feature – Turns off button backlighting
• Factory Default Reset – Returns preset buttons to original settings
• Calibration – Fine-tunes chair movements for accuracy

Control Options for Comfort Zone Four

Basic Control The top two buttons handle essential functions:

• Rise – Gently raises the chair forward into a safe standing position while slightly opening the back to reduce strain on hips and knees.
• Recline – Glides the chair into a relaxing near-zero-gravity position for full body support and pressure relief.

Position Control (Preset Buttons) These labeled buttons ( SLEEP, SIT, TV, ZG) come pre-programmed but can be customized:

• ZG (Zero Gravity) – Weightless, evenly supported relaxation position.
• Sit – Returns the chair to a proper seated position (use arrow buttons for fine back adjustment).
• TV – Ideal upright position with raised footrest for watching TV or reading.
• Sleep – Creates a near-flat, mattress-like position for napping or sleeping.
